New Melones Lake is the fourth largest reservoir in California. With a whopping 2.4 million acre-feet of water with 100 miles of shoreline, this lake is a prime spot for fishing and boating. There is plenty of space for all visitors to spread out and fully utilize the lake without feeling crowded. You can’t beat the weather with a Summer average temperature of 85-100 degrees fahrenheit and a Winter average temperature of 32-60 degrees fahrenheit. According to Recreation, New Melones Lake has been noted for outstanding year-round fishing for both cold and warm water species. The lake is open during the night hours, so summer fishers spend the warm hours pulling their full limit using Nightcrawlers or minnows.

New Melones Lake Marina has two easy access convenience stores that are fully stocked with everything you could possibly need for your perfect fishing trip. Not to mention, one of these stores is a floating store allowing you to pull your boat right up and snag whatever you need. We carry your favorite brands of beer and other drinks, along with snacks, hot and cold foods and don’t forget the ice! Don’t worry about gassing up ahead of time, we have you covered with our easily-accessible gas docks. We also stock up on fresh bait and other tackle and fishing accessories.
